DUCK EGGS & NATURAL DYES, A colorful science adventure

  • Tubac Community Center 50 Bridge Road Tubac, AZ, 85646 United States (map)

All classes will be held at the Tuba Community Center from 9-llam. Dress for creativity! Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes that can get messy with mud and dyes.

Get ready for a bright and egg-citing workshop where kids explore the magic of duck eggs and create beautiful colors using natural dyes from plants, fruits, and spices!

In this hands-on experience, young artists and scientists will:

  •  Discover what makes duck eggs special

  •  Learn how people around the world have used natural ingredients to color eggs for hundreds of years

  • Make their own dyes from everyday foods like berries, turmeric, and red cabbage

  • Experiment with patterns, leaves, and simple techniques to design one-of-a-kind eggs

Along the way, we’ll talk about simple science concepts like absorption, color mixing, and how natural pigments work — all in a fun and easy-to-understand way.

Our kid-safe duck eggs are hollow and sanitized; ready for kids who love art, nature, and getting a little messy while learning something new. By the end, each child will take home their own beautifully dyed duck eggs and a big smile!

Please send your child with a water bottle and a healthy snack to support their energy and focus throughout the program.
